Through nearly 20 years operation, PLANET Technology has been marketing its own brand “PLANET” in more than 130 countries and become one of the leading providers of networking and communication equipments across the five continents. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of all our employees, supports from our worldwide distribution partners, suppliers and investors. It motivates us to continuously strive for excellence, and create higher corporate and brand value.
In 2011, global economy was challenged by the Eurozone debt crisis, the downgrade of US sovereign rating and the 311 earthquake in Japan. In the wake of the economic slowdown, PLANET continued to grow by innovative R&D, effective cost control, enhancing brand value and deepening of our channel distribution.
In light of the concern on global climate change, PLANET integrated IP technology and energy-saving design to develop networking products that meets the demand for low carbon generation. We are proud that five of our environmental friendly equipments were awarded 2012 Taiwan Excellence Award. The company is committed to environment sustainability by setting “green” purchase standards, and promoting energy-saving and recycling. The company again passed the ISO 14001 certification without defects in 2011.
PLANET extends corporate management into social responsibility and contribution. Since the founding of “PLANET Educational Charitable Trust” in 2004, it has integrated different resources and capabilities, including school facilities, teachers and community volunteers, to promote education for the disadvantaged. In particular, it assists the children in psychological counseling and after-school tutoring.
PLANET was awarded many CSR recognitions from local government and medias for its continuous contributions to social responsibility over the years. The “2012 Excellent Corporate in CSR” award by New Taipei City Government, “Excellence in CSR Award” by CommonWealth Magazine for six consecutive years since 2007 (ranked the first in 2011 and 2012), and “2010 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award’ by Global Views Monthly Magazine. They inspired us to put even greater enthusiasm into CSR. We believe in elevating corporate performance while continuing to actively contribute to the society. |
